In keeping with the project’s mission to use music as a force for good, Freirich and Better World Records are collaborating with children’s choirs worldwide to share the song’s message through young voices. Each choir partnership also includes charitable donations and ongoing funding support through the label’s philanthropic initiatives.
The single debuted on Friday, October 31, during the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in California, where the San Diego Children’s Choir performed “I Wish” in front of a live audience of 50,000 people.
“This collaboration beautifully shows how music and kindness can bring people together,” said Carrie Musick Cottriall, Executive Director of the San Diego Children’s Choir. “It’s a powerful way for our young singers to share their voices and the spirit of San Diego on the world stage.”
Freirich, who also leads the Random Acts of Kindness project, shared that the song is rooted in a belief that “one kind act can change the world.” With “I Wish,” he aims to inspire listeners to embrace empathy, unity, and the healing power of music.
“I Wish” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
