KhanPhAro & the New Creatures Resurrect Action-Packed Chaos with “AOAS”

On June 27, 2025, KhanPhAro & the New Creatures unleashed their summer anthem, “AOAS,” a fiery fusion of raw rap vocals, guttural guitar riffs, and pounding drums that cements their place as one of SoCal’s most electrifying underground forces.

"AOAS" doesn’t just deliver on audio, it arrives with a wildly creative visual experience that feels more like a short film than a music video. Created by the band’s guitarist, Ozy, the video brings miniature versions of the band to life using 3D-printed and hand-painted action figures of each member. With support from artists in the Instagram toy community, Ozy built intricate sets and blended stop motion, live-action, photography, and AI to craft a surreal world where plastic heroes thrash, pose, and perform with a purpose. The team set out to create something as chaotic and gritty as the track itself, but with a sense of playful fun.

Alongside the release, Ozy dropped an Instagram carousel that dives deep into the miniature universe built for the "AOAS" video. Each slide introduces one of the custom action figures used in the shoot, complete with close-ups, character names, and background lore. It’s a rad behind-the-scenes look at the personalities that make up this strange plastic ensemble, from guitar-wielding heroes to drum-slinging rebels. The post feels like a cross between a toy catalog and a band zine—perfectly capturing the mix of chaos, craft, and charisma at the heart of the New Creatures.

"AOAS" stays true to KhanPhAro’s genre-bending signature, where the ferocity of hardcore collides with rap’s storytelling edge. It’s unpredictable, loud, and completely their own. The track feels like what would happen if Rage Against the Machine had a baby with an action figure and raised it in a mosh pit. Chaotic, precise, and full of purpose.

If the video wasn’t already enough of a flex, the band also dropped a hilarious, retro-style promo video to tease the release. Complete with low-budget green screen charm and classic infomercial voiceover vibes, the clip looks like it could’ve aired during a ‘90s Saturday morning cartoon break. It’s goofy, self-aware, and totally in line with the band’s DIY ethos.

Whether they’re making music, marketing themselves, or melting your face off live, KhanPhAro & the New Creatures are proving they know exactly how to keep audiences entertained from all angles.

With a string of shows lined up across Southern California, KhanPhAro & the New Creatures are showing no signs of slowing down. Whether it’s through blistering live sets or stop-motion stage dives, one thing’s clear: they’re building a world (and a sound) that’s entirely their own.
